Job summary

UFP Thornton, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records, according to the production schedule.

You will support production by addressing bottlenecks, moving goods between areas, and helping maintain a clean, organized inventory yard, while following company policies and participating in safety and improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6–12 months forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods from production to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
