Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production according to the production schedule. You will maintain paperwork and production records and support production with timely material delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training and licensing requirements will be provided, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another if necessary.
• Bands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
