Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, relocate, and count merchandise within the warehouse. The role focuses on safe operation of forklifts, accuracy in handling inventory, and supporting order fulfillment activities as needed.

Responsibilities include performing pre-operation inspections, stacking and storing items, unloading shipments, and ensuring the correct quantities are loaded and shipped in line with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped
