Job summary

The Forklift Operator I at NFI Industries moves, locates, relocates, stacks, and counts merchandise in the warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient operation of forklifts. The role may also perform order filler or order checker duties to support timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities include completing pre-operation inspection forms, maintaining inventory accuracy with RF scanning devices, supporting cycle counts, and reporting safety concerns while adhering to company procedures and safety

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
