Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, and stack merchandise in the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, perform pre-use checks, and ensure accurate loading and shipping, with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role requires basic math, customer service aptitude, and familiarity with RF scanners. The position may involve later shift work and includes benefits and safety training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
