Job summary

Generous Brands is seeking a Forklift Operator in Bakersfield, CA to move materials in cold storage and support production. The role requires operating multiple forklift types, following FIFO, and assisting with packaging and ingredient flow from warehouse to production.

The ideal candidate will have forklift certification, good English reading/writing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is required or must obtain certification.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Capable of working cross-functionally and communicating with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrically powered forklifts to move materials in cold storage.
• Follow FIFO to rotate and store ingredients.
• Relocate packaging and ingredients from Warehouse to production using JD Edwards.
• Prepare and weigh ingredients ahead of production based on schedule.
• Assist with reconciling ingredients and packaging after production,
• Perform daily cycle counts.
• Assist with pulling ingredients/packaging for non-production needs.
• Inspect and unload trailers and store incoming materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
