Job summary

Colonial Group in Kings Mountain, NC seeks a forklift operator to locate, identify, verify, pull, and transport finished goods, bulk products, and close-out orders with a High Lift Truck across storage and staging areas to ensure efficient production flow.

Worker will operate at heights up to 30 ft, lift up to 40 lbs, scan goods into the inventory database, and move pallets to designated locations, while performing safety checks and battery changes.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English related to safety rules.
• Able to learn to use equipment required to complete tasks.
• Must perform all functions safely and complete safety orientation.
• Working knowledge of computers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, and prepare for operations.
• Operate High Lift Truck to locate, identify, verify finished goods and close-out orders.
• Lift up to 40 lbs, reach up to 30 ft, and place items on pallets.
• Scan goods into the inventory database and transport pallets to storage areas.
• Retrieve pallets from production areas, scan, and deliver to storage.
• Change High Lift Truck batteries and maintain area housekeeping.
• Secure equipment and complete safety checklist at shift end.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
