Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in the United States (Mississippi, Horn Lake) is seeking a forklift operator to unload trucks, move freight within the distribution center, and stock merchandise. You will work safely, follow procedures, and assist with training new team members while maintaining mezzanine zones and replenishing outbound totes.

The role requires teamwork, forklift and power equipment experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team environment.
• Operating knowledge of fork trucks and power equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience operating various types of power equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate fork trucks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while unloading trucks and moving freight within the DC.
• Move incoming merchandise from truck to dock, and dock to stocking areas.
• Stock rack merchandise and arrange surplus from zones.
• Set down rack surplus for zones so orders can be filled and replenishments made.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks that require a fork truck.
• Replenish outbound totes as needed.
• Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones.
• Maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices.
• Train new team members and conduct training per schedule.
• Explain job duties and changes to team members.
• All other duties as assigned.
