Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Noti, Oregon is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced sawmill environment. You will work with lumber yard operations and contribute to production goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience operating forklifts with 18,000+ lb capacity
• Knowledge of lumber species and lumber widths/lengths
• Knowledge of Oregon Operating Rules for Industrial Trucks
• Recent, related work history and verifiable references
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift while keeping pace with production
• Move lumber from yard and stack units by width and length
• Accurately tally units
• Perform daily maintenance checks and routine/minor forklift maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaborate with other forklift drivers for proper placement and organization of lumber
• The work is fast-paced and can be demanding
• Overtime may be required during busy production times
