Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to join our Noti, Oregon sawmill team. You will safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move lumber, tally units, and keep a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced production environment.

Requires at least 1 year of forklift experience (18,000+ lb capacity), knowledge of lumber, and familiarity with Oregon operating rules. We offer strong benefits, paid vacation, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience operating forklifts with 18,000 lbs+ capacity
• Knowledge of lumber species and widths/lengths
• Knowledge of Oregon Operating Rules for Industrial Trucks
• Recent, related work history with verifiable references
• All applicants must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift while keeping pace with production
• Move lumber from yard and stack units by width and length
• Accurately tally units
• Perform daily maintenance checks and routine/minor maintenance on forklift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaboratively work with other forklift drivers for proper placement and organization of lumber
• Work may be fast-paced and demanding; overtime during busy production times
