Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Operator for the Monday-Thursday 1st shift (4:00am-2:30pm) at its Louisville facility.

The role supports manufacturing by safely loading, unloading, and moving materials, ensuring production areas stay stocked and organized while following safety protocols. Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of forklift experience, be able to obtain certification on hire, and demonstrate strong attention to safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• Must obtain forklift certification upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year forklift operation in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of safe material handling procedures and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to transport materials between workstations, storage areas, and loading docks.
• Load and unload materials to support production operations, ensuring accurate placement and movement throughout the facility.
• Supply workstations with necessary materials and remove finished goods to designated storage areas.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols, operate equipment properly, and adhere to OSHA regulations, including proper use of PPE and forklift safety standards.
• Maintain records of material movements, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate any discrepancies or damages.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
