Job summary

Rinker Materials in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our plant. You will operate a forklift, handle loads, perform daily safety checks, and assist with material handling to keep materials properly stored.

The role supports our extensive infrastructure products and requires outdoor work in a manufacturing setting. The position emphasizes reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to comply with guidelines while maintaining safety and production records.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
• Certification on Forklift Operation preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift’s daily safety checklist.
• Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
• Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
• Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
• Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
• Record and turn in production records as required.
• Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.
