Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Forklift Operator to support our Sparks, NV distribution operations. You will drive forklifts and pallet jacks to move items from receiving to inventory and replenish pick slots, ensuring safety and GMP standards are met.

The role requires 6+ months of warehouse experience, ability to lift up to 90 pounds, and comfort working in cooler, freezer, and dry environments. Overtime may be required, and training will precede duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Experience on a Stand Up Reach Truck Forklift and Dock Stocker.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate an Order Picker.
• Locate correct slot on storage racks and position pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Transfer incoming freight from staging to freezer area using forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate dated stock to front and remove outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots.
• Inspect pallets for damage and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift.
