Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator to support dock operations.

You will efficiently sort, load and unload freight, operate pallet jack and forklift, and ensure freight is secured inside trailers while adhering to safety policies. Day-to-day work includes scanning shipments on handheld devices, working on non-climate-controlled docks, and the possibility of varied shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Dock or warehouse experience in transportation preferred.
• Forklift experience in freight/LTL environments preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift and use appropriate equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers using proper tools.
• Follow safety policies to work efficiently.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
