Job summary

Vallen in Belmont, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials, assist in receiving, stocking, and shipping in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will follow established procedures, perform daily forklift inspections, maintain accurate records, and work closely with the team to ensure efficient and safe handling of goods. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-minded approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts or ability to obtain within defined time period.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, and maintenance instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn MS-Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely and properly operate warehouse equipment to complete tasks.
• Complete equipment logs and daily forklift inspections.
• Maintain forklifts; ensure gauges, charging, and fluids are correct.
• Unload materials from incoming vehicles and prepare for storage.
• Load trucks for customer delivery and verify quantities.
• Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods per requests.
