Job summary

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Aberdeen, MD. The position offers weekly pay and performance-based compensation with on-the-job training.

Benefits start at 30 days and include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO up to 80 hours in year one, and employee discounts. Operate powered industrial equipment while ensuring safety and accuracy in order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
• Recognize damaged product and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallets and stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation and maintain product accountability.
• Follow Safety and Security policies and procedures.
• May train others in warehouse functions and operate powered equipment.
