Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Aberdeen, MD. The role offers weekly pay and starts with on-the-job training. You will work with powered industrial equipment, handle appliances, and join a safety-first environment.

We provide medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with company match, PTO from month 1 (up to 80 hours first year), employee stock discounts, and various employee discounts. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
• Recognize damaged product and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallets and stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability.
• Be aware of and follow safety and security policies and procedures.
• May train others in warehouse functions and operate powered equipment.

• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned


• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
