Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Full-time Forklift Operator for our Elgin, IL service center. The role involves moving freight safely in and out of 53’ trailers and operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.

This is a Monday–Friday shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with PTO after 90 days and a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates will have forklift experience in a fast-paced environment and some LTL exposure.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/interact with a computer display.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast pace environment.
• Previous forklift exp in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experiences.

Responsibilities

As a Forklift Operator you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53’ long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed but non-climate-controlled dock.
