Job summary

Kraft Heinz's Champaign, IL plant is seeking a forklift operator to move, stage, load, and unload goods in the distribution department, using powered industrial trucks to support shipping and receiving operations.

The role requires 1–2 years forklift experience (training provided for the right candidate), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand for long periods. Flexible schedule, weekend availability, and compliance with GMPs and PPE rules are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years forklift operation experience.
• Prefer production/manufacturing experience; training provided for the right candidates.
• Able to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to move materials safely and efficiently
• Stage, pick, and deliver finished goods/materials to designated dock doors, shipping lanes, or storage locations
• Verify product identity, lot codes, quantities, and locations; report discrepancies or damages
• Use scanners and complete shipping/receiving documentation as needed; ensure paperwork is complete and accurate
• Keeping area clean and orderly.
• Documentation of pertinent information where required.
• Follow all safety rules, food safety requirements, and GMPs at all times.
• Maintain PPE standards (hair/beard nets, steel toe shoes, bump cap, ear and eye protection, and removal of all piercings, jewelry, and false nails) per policy.
• Report safety hazards, near misses, injuries, or food safety concerns immediately.
• Comply with all company policies and general safety rules while performing duties.
• Participate and collaborate in meetings.
• Filling in for other positions and training other employees as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
