Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Forklift Operator to join our Corrugated facility in Mt Wolf, PA! You will safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift and assist with loading/unloading materials to ensure smooth production flow.

This role requires basic computer and documentation skills, and you will follow all safety policies in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment. We offer opportunities for growth, pay progression from $21.93/hour with potential increases to $24.17/hour plus

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year sit-down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and/or record-keeping functions

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift with push-pull attachment.
• Adhere to all Safety and Compliance rules, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Loading and unloading materials
• Ensure loads are properly secured and in good condition.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Participating in setting team goals and managing job assignments
• Organize work-in-progress, raw materials, finished goods, and ensure all production machines are loaded with stock to ensure continuous operation
• Communicate with machine operators and other team members to maintain production flow.
• Utilize basic computer skills to complete shipping tasks
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
