Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator in Fontana, CA. The role involves loading and unloading cargo using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and verifying loads against manifests.

Responsibilities include pulling routes from manifests, staging freight, assisting drivers, and ensuring timely and accurate packaging and system updates. Strong reading, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material.
• RF scan gun experience required.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Able to read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products and other duties.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
