Job summary

The Kraft Group & Affiliates in Massachusetts is seeking a reliable forklift operator to support loading, unloading and moving materials between storage areas, machines and docks. You will operate powered industrial trucks safely and follow the daily production schedule.

Responsibilities include performing forklift inspections, delivering stock on time, completing forms and reports, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining strict safety and HIPAA-compliant data

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of corrugated packaging or general manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can translate into efficient operation.
• Working knowledge of layouts, production specifications and product quality specifications.
• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to use warehouse scanners.
• Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
• Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to load and unload materials.
• Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines on time.
• Complete forklift inspection before start of shift and when operating a new forklift, and turn in maintenance work orders.
• Adhere to daily production schedule.
• Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
• Complete assigned forms and reports accurately and promptly (Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Engage in special projects and assignments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards or company policies as required (including HIPAA).
