Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro in Shreve, OH is seeking a Forklift Operator to unload inbound shipments, prepare orders, and move product safely using forklift equipment. This hourly role follows a step pay progression and starts at $22.50 per hour, with weekly pay.

You will inspect equipment, maintain accurate records, assist in inventories, and follow safety and OSHA guidelines. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year forklift operation experience.
• Ability to perform basic math (add/subtract/divide).
• Read orders for picking and staging of products.
• Pass Scotts forklift exams and maintain a valid operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Stack and store merchandise properly and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare products for shipment and load/unload using forklift or power equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Assist in inventory counts and keep records for security and accuracy.
