Job summary

Sun-Maid in California is seeking a Forklift Operator in the Shipping department to move and store product safely and efficiently.

You will perform pallet consolidation, load accuracy, equipment checks, and maintain documentation while following supervisor instructions.

Must have a current forklift license, be able to lift 50 lbs, and learn the RF system to track all movement. This role requires attention to safety, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and occasional heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Must hold and maintain a current forklift operator’s license and complete required forklift training.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry up to 5 ft.
• Learn, understand and use the Inventory Control RF system as it pertains to production standards.

Responsibilities

• Move and store product safely within warehouse and to auxiliary warehouses.
• Count finished goods and consolidate pallets and storage locations.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and ensure proper documentation of all product movement.
• Check and maintain forklift and repair damaged cases as needed.
• Stretch-wrap pallets and verify correct item and lot codes on loads.
• Fill out Driver's Daily Forklift Checklist and follow supervisor directions.
• Other duties as assigned.
