Job summary

Land Pride is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator at our Lucas, KS facility to support the Material Handling team. This full-time position runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities include moving parts safely, ensuring accurate part delivery, and performing basic preventive maintenance while complying with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Ability to excel in fast‑paced, high‑pressure situations.
• Ability to use and understand AS400 software.
• Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
