Job summary

Carlisle is hiring a forklift operator responsible for pulling, loading outbound shipments and unloading inbound deliveries at the facility. The role requires operating a propane sit-down forklift, verifying counts, and preparing goods for storage or shipment.

You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, maintain safety standards, and follow work orders while collaborating with team members to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment of orders.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
• Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Responsibilities

• Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
• Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
• Moving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
• Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
• Material handling of all products.
• Follow shipping work orders.
• Other duties as assigned
