Job summary

GPC’s Indianapolis terminal is seeking a forklift operator to support the NAPA Auto Parts Private Fleet in a fast-paced cross-dock environment. You will move palletized shipments, load trailers, and ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA standards while maintaining accuracy and safety throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include scans/counts, maintaining load integrity, daily equipment checks, and keeping the dock area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a forklift operator.
• Experience with sit down/stand up forklift a plus.
• Forklift Certification

Responsibilities

• Productivity: operate in a fast-paced cross-dock environment to move freight to/from inbound/outbound trailers.
• Quality: ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage; report variances and maintain scans/counts.
• Efficient loading using proper stacking techniques to maximize trailer utilization.
• Housekeeping: keep trailers and dock area clean and organized.
• Equipment: inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift and equipment.
• Safety and Security: comply with OSHA and DOT standards and maintain a safe work area.
