Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a DC Lift Truck Operator to support receiving, stocking, picking, packing and shipping in our distribution center.

The role focuses on moving product safely while maintaining productivity and adhering to established SOPs and safety practices. The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in distribution/warehouse settings, basic computer skills, and the ability to work fast-paced with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience preferred in a distribution/warehouse environment or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program in order to efficiently and safely operate a forklift within the time frame specified by Leadership.

Responsibilities

• May complete the activity of RF Scanners or paper-based picking which requires the use of different types of powered industrial powered equipment to complete this process and includes the obtaining and transferring product from various locations throughout the DC.
• May complete the activity of shipping which requires the use of different types of equipment to complete this process and will include the weighing, loading/stacking of materials onto trucks.
• May complete the activity of receiving in products from various vendors which will require the use of different types of equipment to complete the process and will include the unloading, stacking, and storage of product during and after the receiving process.
• May stock products/items which require the use of different types of equipment to complete the process and will include obtaining and transferring product from various locations throughout the distribution center, along with pick up from the receiving staging area.
• Maintains a safe work environment, performs job functions in a safe manner, and reports any potential job hazards and property damage to leadership, including maintaining good housekeeping practices.
• Maintains productivity related to standards based on assigned task.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested by leadership.
