Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for the A-D shifts in Enid, OK. The role involves loading, unloading, and processing items in a warehouse using a motor-powered forklift.

Shifts include Sunday–Tuesday and Wednesday variations on 5:00am–5:00pm, 6:00pm–6:00am, and other schedules. PPE is provided, and boot reimbursement follows probation. Safety rules apply and post-offer screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months work history with the same employer within last 3 years.
• Preferred experience with forklifts, warehouse and cold storage atmosphere.
• Must be willing to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours per day).
• May work with corrective lenses; PPE may be provided for hearing protection.
• Must pass post-offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load, unload and move product and materials.
• Use handheld scanner to track products during handling.
• Perform duties as assigned, including receiver, put away, replenisher, picker, loader tasks.
• Stand/walk for long periods and handle up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• Follow safety policies; use PPE and report hazards.

Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring all product and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Must be willing to adhere to a production performance percentage measurement
• Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening

Responsibilities

• During your work shift, which will consist of three 12-hour days and one 6 hour day, you will do work that consists of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing/pulling up to (40) pounds.
• As part of efficiently completing job tasks, a handheld scanner will be used to track products as it is loaded, unloaded, and moved around the facility.
• At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.
• Sub Duties (May be required to work any or all of these positions)
  • Receiver – Receives product accurately into the building using a Powered Industrial Truck
  • Put Away – Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
  • Replenisher – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
  • Picker – (Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
  • Loader – Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.

Environment

• Most of the time will be driving a Powered Industrial Truck - including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)
• You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)
• Team members will driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks. May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks.
• Standing or walking up to 100% of the time

Proficiency in reading and writing.
