Job summary

SECO - Southeast Consolidators is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move packages, unload inbound materials, and load outbound trailers in a fast-paced facility. The role requires attention to detail, basic administrative duties, and the ability to follow policies to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, reporting damages, counting freight, and ensuring proper loading in DC trailers.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
• Shift: 7am - 4pm or until, Sunday - Thursday

Responsibilities

• Safely unload materials and merchandise from incoming trailers and load them to assigned outbound trailers.
• Performs required administrative tasks, for inbound unloading and outbound loading.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and note any defects on pre shift inspection form.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facilities.
• Secure freight for transit.
• Being able to operate air compressor for airbag usage.
• Ensure freight is counted and loaded in the right DC trailer.
• Being able to perform different tasks such as working floor freight and mixed freight while keeping a good count of the goods and paying attention to detail.
