Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator in Saraland, AL to support loading and unloading freight on a busy dock. You will sort freight, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and use handheld scanners to track shipments. Safety and efficiency are emphasized on every shift.

You’ll receive starting pay at $22.27/hour with a day shift, full health, life and disability insurance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform basic math with or without calculator.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jack, forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Scan and track shipments with handheld devices.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
