Job summary

Vistar in Sparks, NV is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator for the day shift (5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. + OT as needed). You will move freight, stock inventory, and support efficient product flow in a distribution center using a forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck as required.

The role emphasizes safety, GMP adherence, and teamwork. A High School diploma/GED and 6+ months of warehouse experience are required, with lifting up to 90 pounds and ability to work in multi-temperature environments;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks and sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items; enters product data and location into the system.
• Counts incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and removes outdated inventory according to policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removes empty pallets and packing from the area; inspects pallets for damage and moves them to storage area.
