Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for the D shift (Wednesday- Saturday, 6pm-5am). The role involves using a motor-powered forklift to load, unload and process materials in a cold warehouse, with PPE provided. Tasks include receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking and loading trucks.

12-hour shifts, safety-first culture, and extensive on-the-job training are provided. Applicants must have at least 6 months of forklift experience within the last year, be able to stand for long periods,

# **Forklift Operator**# **D shift is Wednesday- Saturday 6pm-5am**# **$23.15**Summary This position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. # **Rehires Requirements:****Maximum of 3 times working for Tyson, 365 Days between Employments.**# **Qualifications**# **Must have 6 Months Forklift Experience in the last (12 Months).**Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance. * May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.* May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed. Cold Storage Experience Preferred.* Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.Responsibilities * During your work shift, which will consist of (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.* Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.* As part of efficiently completing job tasks, a handheld scanner will be used to track products as it is moved around the facility.* At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.* Sub Duties (May be required to work any or all of these positions)* **Receiver** – Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.* **Put Away** – Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.* **Replenisher** – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.* **Picker** – (Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.* **Loader** – Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.Environment * Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)* You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).* Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)* Team members will be driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks.
