Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking entry level general labor associates for all shifts across departments such as shipping, receiving, and material handling. Candidates should be able to work in a cold environment, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 70 lbs as needed.

A post-offer health screening and legal work authorization are required. Training will be provided for powered industrial trucks; prior experience with heavy machinery is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of work history in the last year.
• Minimum 6 months of experience operating heavy machinery.
• Must pass post-offer health screening and provide work authorization for the U.S.

Job description

This position is responsible for any entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any forklift start type opening (including Forklift operator/Picker/Loader/Put Away duties) on any shift (Shift will be determined at time of offer for interview or after interview based on hiring needs), such as day, evening or night shift as well as overtime and weekends if required. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to, shipping and receiving. Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand up lifts). Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc. \"The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.\" If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
