Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator in Nashville to efficiently sort, handle, load and unload freight on a dock. This role requires forklift and pallet jack use, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work across shifts in a non climate-controlled environment.

Experienced operators can start at $28.81/hour with full health insurance on day one, life and disability coverage, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in transportation desirable.
• Forklift experience in freight/LTL environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack and other equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Follow safety policies and work on a non climate-controlled dock.
• Scan and track shipments using handheld devices.
• Adapt to a dock environment with extended exposure to the elements.
