Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for general warehouse functions, including loading, unloading, depal, receiving, put‑away, pulls, and replenishments. You will operate a reach forklift and other MHE in freezer, cooler, and dry environments, adhering to PWMs and safety standards.

The role requires forklift certification and the ability to work in extreme temperatures. You will help ensure accurate staging and safe handling of products while maintaining productivity

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co workers.
• Must observe and to communicate observations verbally and in written form to others responsible for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Certification on material handling equipment is required, or the ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Transport pallets of product safely between staging areas (docks, pack/holds, manual depal area and storage areas (rack)).
• Put away product using material handling equipment, primarily a reach forklift.
• Inspect product for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration of packing and report to supervisor.
• Replenish product to full pallet or hand stack location from reserve location following PWMs.
• Remove shrink wrap, bands or tape when placing a pallet into a selection location for replenishments.
• Ensure pallets are secured with shrink wrap for delivery to a door or rack storage.
• Deliver stacked pallets to the loading dock to ensure products are accurately staged for loading.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and orderly manner; maintain daily inspections.
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness of work areas and warehouse locations.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor and observe all safety rules.
