Job summary

Steel & Pipe Supply is seeking a Forklift Operator/Helper for first shift in Houston. Responsibilities include operating a 70,000 lb forklift, staging materials, loading/unloading trailers, and tagging inbound coils.

Regular inspections and cross-department support are expected to maintain daily production tasks. Qualifications include 3+ years forklift experience, 2+ years coil/beams handling, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating forklifts.
• 2+ years loading/unloading coils, channels, beams and mill plate.
• Experience unloading/loading railcars.
• Valid driver's license.
• 18+ years old.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic reading and tool-use literacy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior experience with machinery or forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely (up to 70,000 lb) and stage material for production.
• Assist other departments with loading trailers and moving materials.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report issues.
• Receive and tag inbound coils and aid in unload/load tasks.
• Support daily tasks to ensure production continuity.
