Altec Inc. is seeking a forklift operator to move materials around the plant and exterior areas, adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.

The role involves operating forklifts, hoists, and lifting devices, and transporting goods between loading, processing, and storage zones. You will load and unload materials, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and ensure pallets are secured for safe transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Past experience with operating fork trucks or other heavy machinery.
• Altec forklift license and HAZWOP certification.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial trucks or tractors to move materials around the plant and externally.
• Follow safety regulations and keep work area clean.
• Move materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Operate lifting devices and secure pallets for transport.
• Load and unload materials using pallets and lifting devices.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Turn valves or operate chutes to release materials from bins.
