Altec is seeking a forklift operator to join our team in North Carolina. You will follow safety regulations, operate forklifts and lifting devices, move materials between loading, processing, and storage areas, and perform routine vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HAZWOP certification and forklift license preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety regulations and keep work areas clean; wear required safety attire.
• Drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks/tractors to move materials between areas.
• Operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Position lifting devices under pallets and secure materials for transport.
• Manually load or unload materials onto pallets or platforms.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
