Forklift Operator and Machine Operator - $18.50 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) with some weekend work and OT

The Forklift Operator/Machine Operator supports the safe, efficient, and productive setup, maintenance, and operation of machinery and forklifts, including general maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, sample retrieval, power washing, lifting, hauling, preparing packaging, and packaging products as required or assigned by the supervisor.

I. Forklift Operations:

• Must be trained and certified on the forklift.
• Trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling.
• Proficient in operating stretch wrappers and forklifts on all production lines.
• Load trucks properly.
• Complete and modify pick sheets as needed.
• Communicate professionally with visitors and customers.
• Basic operational knowledge of roll-up doors.
• Understand inventory procedures.
• Trained in pallet transfer operations.
• Reconcile finished products accurately.

II. Machine Operations:

• Inspect machines for proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Set up manufacturing equipment.
• Stock packaging lines with materials.
• Complete production and packaging documentation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on packaging equipment.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding equipment status.
• Report and address quality issues during operation.
• Properly start-up, operate, shut down, and clean equipment.
• Handle chemicals safely, including PPE use.
• Understand process flow from source tank to filling.
• Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, and filter changes.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous relevant manufacturing experience preferred

Skills: Proficient in operating forklifts and machinery, basic computer skills

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces and at heights

Schedule: Monday - Friday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) with some weekend work and OT
