Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Allentown, PA facility. The role offers a pay rate of $18.50 per hour with opportunities for increased compensation based on skills and contribution to performance.

We are hiring for 1st shift (6am–2pm) and 2nd shift (2pm–10pm) with mandatory overtime every other weekend and a schedule of 12 days on with 2 days off.

Qualifications

• Minimum prior work experience.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain safety and efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Safely operating a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensuring accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments
• Working collaboratively with other team members
• Ensuring a safe work environment throughout the facility by removing debris from areas within the warehouse
• Performing work that requires lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Promoting safe work practices while maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Performing tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to eight (8) hours a day

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Previous job experience.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• 6 months or more of experience using a forklift to load and unload trailers
