Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Allentown, PA facility. The role requires safe forklift operation to load/unload trailers and accurate shipping records, with teamwork and a strong emphasis on safety.

Shifts include 1st (6am–2pm) and 2nd (2pm–10pm) with mandatory overtime every other weekend; 12 days on followed by 2 days off. Pay starts at $18.50/hour with future increases based on performance.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.

• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill.

Shift

We are looking for a 1st shift and a 2nd shift.

• Monday- Friday
• 1st shift - 6am - 2pm
• 2nd shift - 2pm-10pm
• Mandatory overtime every other weekend
• Work 12 days straight and have 2 days off

What You Will Do

• Safely operating a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensuring accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments
• Working collaboratively with other team members
• Ensuring a safe work environment throughout the facility by removing debris from areas within the warehouse
• Performing work that requires lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Promoting safe work practices while maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Performing tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to eight (8) hours a day

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• Previous job experience.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• 6 months or more of experience using a forklift to load and unload trailers
