• 3 months to 1 year related manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of metric system.
• Previous forklift experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the shift supervisor to coordinate production activities.
• Operate manufacturing line adjusting conditions for quality.
• Provide materials using forklifts and assist in packing parts.

Responsibilities & Opportunities

Sika is looking for experienced Machine Operator to join it’s growing team in Gastonia, NC.

This position will assist the shift supervisor in coordinating the work of production employees involved in production activities. Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and product. Operates manufacturing line. Requires the ability to vary prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality parts. Changes and adjust operating conditions to maintain proper quality.

Other Duties include:

1. Review daily production schedules with team lead to be prepared for upcoming changes; develops a plan in coordination with team lead to support production.
2. Continuously look for areas or processes to improve
3. Provide lines with needed materials using stand up or sit-down forklifts
4. unload or load trucks as needed
5. required to help lines pack parts as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 months-1 year related manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of metric system, computer literate, able to operate a forklift, and able to read and write
• previous forklift experience
