Job summary

Lone Star Bakery, INC. is seeking a Material Handler to support our production and warehousing operations in Texas. The role requires operating forklifts and other equipment to move goods, load and unload materials, and ensure accurate documentation for shipments and receipts.

The position emphasizes GMP compliance, OSHA standards, and teamwork in a temperature-controlled environment. The shift runs from 7:00am to 6:00pm with competitive benefits and 13.00 per hour starting pay.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read and write English with basic math skills.
• Knowledge of barcoding system.
• Stand for long periods; push/pull pallets and move materials.
• Understand and use barcode scanners and devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehousing equipment.
• Load, unload, and transfer goods within production areas, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
• Verify items picked for shipping and received against documentation (bill of lading, POs).
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean, orderly work space.
• Cycle count products to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Travel between plants and different areas of the temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Train employees and demonstrate best practices when required.
• Perform other duties as required.

TheMaterial Handlerperforms a variety of warehouse functions in support of Production as instructed by the supervisor. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMP") and complies with OSHA standards.

Job Duties &Responsibilities

• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehousing equipment.
• Loads, unloads, inspects, and transfers goods within the Company’s production area, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
• Ability to work in a team environment; wit the common goal of supporting the Company.
• Verifies items picked for shipping to sales orders and items received to bill of lading, purchase orders, and other documentation.
• Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Completes internal paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Follows warehousing protocol and procedures (such as FIFO).
• Ability to cycle count products to ensure the accountability is always maintained.
• Maintains a clean work area that is free and clear of foreign objects and materials.
• Notifies supervisor of any warehousing issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Complies with GMP and Company standards.
• Ability to travel between both plants and in different areas of the temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Trains employees and demonstrates best practices when required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications

• Ability to be forklift certified.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and write English with basic math skills.
• Knowledge of barcoding system.
• Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.
• Ability to push and pull pallets and other packaging materials.
• Ability to understand and use barcoding scanners and devices.
