Loading/Unloading/Transferring Materials
- Operates forklift truck according to required safety standards.
- Moves materials to/from warehouse(s), production line, packaging line, etc.
- Unloads/loads shuttles.
- Picks and stages orders.
- Removes used items such as pallets, tier sheets, trash bins from production, packaging, and warehouse areas.
Documentation
- Completes required paperwork (e.g., tally sheets, slot change, shuttle transfer).
- Scans materials via barcode tags in and out of inventory.
- Records receipt/loading of materials on driver paperwork (BOL).
- Completes "Forklift Operator's Daily Checklist" to confirm forklift/equipment is in proper working order.
Other
- Assists production/packaging line operators by removing plastic and straps from pallets as needed.
- Performs routine maintenance such as filling propane tanks and checking valves.
- Maintains a clean work area by picking up trash, sweeping floors, and wiping down equipment.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.
- Ability to use basic math and writing skills for paperwork.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations or trainability.
- Capable of operating a lift truck safely and efficiently, following plant and company rules.
- Must pass forklift training tests and on-the-job assessments.
- Demonstrated observation skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, bending/stooping, twisting, pinching, grasping/handling.
- Must be able to drive a standard forklift with both hands and feet.
- Must have stamina and ability to move quickly.
- Must lift up to 80 pounds when necessary.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Able to move freely in the office environment as needed.
