Job summary

Brakebush Brothers Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift. You will move loads, verify labels, and support shipping/receiving activities in a fast-paced food production environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport loads using a forklift and verify labels and product content.
• Drop material FIFO for each line and prep for export.
• Sort material by Item and Kill Date to maintain FIFO.
• RF scan loads and pallets into inventory; ensure correct storage.
• Report safety incidents immediately.
• Place products in racks safely and update SAP records.
• Keep coolers/freezers clear of debris and damaged goods.
• Ensure lines have material, film, boxes, and pallets.
• Fulfill production line requests in a timely fashion.
• Keep dock area debris-free; empty pallets and trash containers.
• Remove plastic from inbound loads and apply labels.
• Conduct inventory checks and communicate issues to production.
• Stage product for production lines and place in blast freeze or cooler.
• Communicate concerns with management when needed.

Position: PIT II (Forklift Operator)

Compensation: Hourly Non-exempt

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Transporting loads using a forklift as assigned by manager/supervisor, verifies/matches labels and product content.

Essential Functions:

• Drop material (CKN) FIFO for each line and have ready for export to each production line

• Sort material by Item and Kill Date to keep the current FIFO order

• RF scanning of loads being shipped and pallets into inventory; stored correctly

• Safety report any incidents immediately

• Place products in racks 100% safely and effectively and correct in SAP

• Ensure coolers/freezer are clear from any debris and damaged goods that may present an issue for the department

• Ensure each line is equipped with material, film, boxes, and pallets

• Ensure all requests by production line management is granted in a timely fashion

• Ensure dock is free of debris, empty pallets, trash containers emptied during shift

• Remove plastic from inbound loads and place on the dock until the labels are applied

• Performs inventory checks

• Write issues to be sent to production

• Stage product for production lines

• Place product in blast freeze or cooler

• Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following

Production Safety Employee relations

• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: One year work experience.

Other Requirements: No other requirements.

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
