Job summary

Mount Franklin Food is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to move product and pallets within a food production facility in Texas. You will transport materials to and from storage areas and machines, perform safety checks, and help keep lines running to meet production targets.

Candidates should have a forklift operator certification, 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and be fluent in English and Spanish; willingness to work extended hours, second shift,

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to transport product and pallets between storage areas and machines.
• Perform safety checks on equipment (battery, brakes, lift controls, fire extinguisher) and complete checklists.
• Replace defective pallets and maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Respond to radio calls to keep production lines running.
• Follow GMP, safety, health, and environmental policies.

Summary of JobOperate industrial forklift truck to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and machines. Performs all these activities in compliance with company’s personnel safety, food safety and food quality systems as well as 5s methodology.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSecurity:Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.Complies will all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.Complies and enforces security norms and food quality.Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.Must present proper employee Id upon entering premisesMust present Parking permit upon entering premisesFollows safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.Quality:Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).Complies and enforces security norms and food quality.Adequately carries out all activities related to security and quality of the finished product.Becomes personally accountable for the highest quality and integrity standards of behavior, honesty and fairness in all aspects of the job.Production:Supplies product to all machines according to work order specification.Prior to signing out equipment performs operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
