Job summary

RRD in Illinois is seeking a skilled forklift operator to move finished product, stock materials, and stage shipments within the manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes safe operation and efficiency while adhering to waste handling and housekeeping policies.

Qualifications

• Must know forklift dimensions and load capacity.
• Ability to judge doorway/aisle clearance for forklift operations.
• Familiarity with storage layouts for item placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supply Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
• Stage product for movement or shipment.
• Rack unused supplies and maintain inventory records.
• Transport and process paper by-products as required.
• Perform routine daily inspections on hoist and report maintenance needs.
• May perform battery service duties and lubricate moving parts.
• Adhere to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and lockout/tagout.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects.
