Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift in the Production & Manufacturing department. Starting min rate of $20.00/hr with a pay range of $20.00–$22.75/hr, occasional overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts to move raw materials and finished products, loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and performing routine safety checks. Benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage are available.

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backings, and driving fork lift or clamp truck through aisles in building, up and down ramps, and in and out of railroad cars, trucks, etc.
• Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift
• Good ability to identify doorway and aisle dimensions to safely drive the forklift and place loads
• Must be able to recognize whether the forklift can lift the load and whether the load is balanced
• Knowledge of the storage area layout to locate/place items without detailed instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and related lifting devices to move materials within warehouse and factory.
• May load and unload semi trailers; maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• May load/unload materials onto pallets; perform safety checks on lifts.
• May lubricate truck, recharge batteries, refill fuel, or replace liquefied-gas tank.
