Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is hiring for a 2nd shift forklift/equipment operator to move products throughout our warehouse. The role requires operating manual handling equipment and may require an externally accredited qualification/license.

Typical titles include Forklift operator and MHE Operator. We offer full benefits and a competitive pay rate of $23.00 per hour, with a schedule of 2nd shift: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM Tue–Sat (morning 8:00 AM).

Qualifications

• Experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to accuracy and timeliness of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pull routes from manifests, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading/unloading trucks.
• Perform picking, packing, scanning, and related warehouse duties as needed.
• Identify and document overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area per TSA/OSHA guidelines.

Summary:

Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. Role requires the skills and experience to operate/drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. These roles will mostly require an externally accredited qualification/license.

Typical titles include Forklift operator, Equipment Operator, MHE Operator

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$23.00 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
